Audit Assistant – InternDURATION: 3 months with a perspective of long-term cooperation LOCATION: Tbilisi, Georgia
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Interns is a position in the Assurance Department within a probation period. He/she is supervised by Senior Auditor (Team Leader).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in audit engagements and perform tasks assigned by senior auditors, in the office and at client premises during field work,
- Properly and accurately document the performed work in audit working papers,
- Participate in compilation of the auditor’s reports and other deliverables,
- Ensure completion of assigned tasks within deadlines prescribed in planning memorandum of the audit engagement,
- Other duties as requested by supervising audit staff.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:
- Understanding of common audit procedures for different sections of financial statements (e.g. cash, receivables, PPE, sales etc.)
- Good working knowledge of Ms Excel application
- Good command of English (spoken and written)
- Commitment to long-term association with the company (at least for the next 3 years) and dedication to grow professionally within the firm
- Commitment to pass at least 3 papers in ACCA professional qualification scheme in the next 12 months
- Demonstrated academic excellence and strong academic credentials
- Demonstrated interest in self-development and ability to learn
- Verbal and written communication and reporting skills
- Analytical skills
- Excellent aptitude of team work
- Ability to work within deadlines
- Professional appearance and behaviour
- Readiness to work over-times when required
Willingness to travel for out-of-town engagements.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCES:
- Enrolment in a finance/accounting qualification scheme (ACCA or Georgian qualification scheme) is highly desirable
- Demonstrated academic excellence and strong academic credentials
- Language skills: knowledge of Russian is an advantage
- Knowledge of any widely used accounting software packages (Oris, Info Bughalter, 1C, Fina, Balance etc.) is an advantage
- Experience with audit management / audit work-paper management software is an advantage
Working knowledge of Ms Word application
University degree in Finance/Accounting or Economics
