British International School is announcing a vacancy for Spanish Language Teacher
This post is to start 12th August 2024. A candidate with the appropriate qualifications and experience is required to work in a team including other Modern Foreign Language teachers as well as other professionals supporting the overall development of students.
Job Description:
The role is to plan and teach Spanish lessons as groups or individuals as a foreign language to children aged 7 to 18 years old.
At age 14-18, the school follows Cambridge IGCSE and A level programme. For 11-14 follow UK National Curriculum
For 7-11, language fun programme.
A teacher is expected to demonstrate consistently high standards of personal and professional conduct.
Candidates must have experience in teaching/supporting students in the class and should have a good command of written and spoken English.
Main responsibilities will also consists of:
- Planning and preparing programmes and teaching materials.
- Assessing individual educational needs and teaching at a variety of levels to meet these.
- Monitoring, assessing and recording the progress of all pupils assigned to him/her, providing written and verbal reports on development, progress and achievement.
- Working towards the relevant assessment points and conducting the assessments should it be appropriate.
- Promoting the children’s general physical, social and emotional welfare. This includes overall responsibility for every child during official school working hours and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Communicating with, consulting and advising parents and participating in meetings arranged for any of the purposes described above.
- Participating in all CPD and in-service training arrangements.
