Job Description:
- As a Fraud and Risk Management Developer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our platform against fraudulent activities and managing risks associated with casino games and sportsbook operations. You will design, develop, and maintain tools and systems to monitor, analyse, and respond to suspicious activities. Your work will involve data analysis, mathematical modeling, and collaboration with risk analysts and data scientists to ensure the integrity of our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain risk management tools and systems (including customer profiling models, real-time alerts, analyst tools, template automations, and other related data integrations) using a variety of tools including Excel Macros, Python, etc.
- Create and optimize spreadsheet-based models (Excel) for risk analysis and reporting, including advanced features such as pivot tables, complex formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, array formulas), and macros.
- Perform complex mathematical and statistical analyses to support risk assessment, with a strong focus on probability and statistics.
- Collaborate with risk analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Automate data collection, processing, and reporting workflows.
- Work closely with the BI team to make use of data warehouses and collaboratively develop big data models. Integrate the use and output of these models into tools used by the Risk Management team.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of risk models and tools.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in risk management technologies.
- Provide technical support and training to risk management teams.
- Stay updated with emerging threats, techniques, and technologies in the online gaming fraud prevention landscape.
- Document system architecture, processes, and workflows to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience (min 3+ years) in developing risk management tools and systems.
- Strong analytical and data-oriented mindset. Ability to use data visualizations to break down and understand complex problems.
- Understanding of fraud detection techniques, including anomaly detection, behavioral analytics, and rule-based systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python (or similar) programming.
- Proficiency in SQL or other data mining tools.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, VBA, and macros.
- Solid understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts, particularly in probability and statistics.
- Familiarity with casino games and sportsbook operations.
- Experience with big data, machine learning and predictive modeling is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
