What You’ll Be Doing
- Respond promptly to support requests related to IoT devices, platforms, and infrastructure
- Install, configure, and maintain connected IoT hardware and software systems
- Troubleshoot device connectivity, firmware updates, and sensor issues
- Support remote and on-site diagnostics for edge devices and sensors
- Maintain accurate records of device inventory, firmware versions, and configurations
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to deploy IoT devices at scale
- Create and manage user access controls and device provisioning workflows
- Provide technical documentation and incident reports for critical issues
- Monitor device performance and proactively identify anomalies or failure points
- Ensure security protocols are followed in line with IT and network security standards
What You Bring to the Team
- Strong understanding of IoT architectures (edge, cloud, device-layer protocols)
- Experience working with hardware interfaces such as sensors, gateways, microcontrollers, and embedded systems
- Familiarity with connectivity protocols like MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, or WebSockets
- Proficient in network troubleshooting (IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls)
- Experience with Azure IoT Hub, AWS IoT Core, or similar platforms
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory (Azure or on-premises), Microsoft 365 tools
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Comfortable with using ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA) and documentation tools
- Willingness to work flexible schedules or after hours when needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure IoT Developer or Azure Fundamentals
- CompTIA IoT+
- Cisco IoT certifications (if applicable)
Work Experience:
Previous experience in IoT technical support, field service engineering, network support, or device administration
