Proxy Live Solutions is looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to strengthen our security operations by establishing security standards, performing security assessments, and managing our SIEM system. This role requires a strategic mindset—first designing a protection framework, then attempting to break it, and iterating to continuously improve security.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Elastic stack, cloud computing security best practices (Google Cloud, AWS, etc.), and a mix of Blue Team (80%) and Red Team (20%) activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Research emerging cybersecurity threats and recommend improvements to security policies.
- Continuously conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security weaknesses.
- Perform security audits to ensure compliance with industry best practices and hardening standards.
- Conduct ad hoc secure code reviews to detect and fix vulnerabilities.
- Configure, analyze, and respond to security threats using multiple security data sources (firewalls, antivirus, IDS, SIEM, SAST, DAST).
- Investigate security incidents and threats to improve security response.
- Develop and maintain security solutions supporting automation (e.g., SIEM systems, vulnerability management platforms, and security-as-code frameworks).
- Collaborate with security teams, business units, and IT teams to mitigate risks.
- Manage and execute secure development, security training, and phishing awareness programs.
- Support the team with other security-related tasks as required.
- Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Passion for cybersecurity and a strong commitment to security best practices.
- Hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, and penetration testing (web applications & infrastructure).
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, IDS/IPS, SAST, DAST, and configuration automation tools.
- Strong understanding of Linux, Windows, and iOS operating systems.
- Experience in cloud security best practices (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience working in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and familiarity with the GitOps (Infrastructure as Code) approach (Ansible, Terraform, Helm charts).
- Python for security automation.
- Ability to document and clearly communicate technical details.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written) as the primary language of communication.
Preferred:
- Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP, CISSP, CompTIA Security+).
- Experience with Scala, JavaScript, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern IT security challenges.
