Role: Procurement Specialist


What you will do:

  • Track, monitor and process all procurement requests via the request system
  • Communicate, Clarify and understand business requests
  • Timely update of status to business requestors
  • Ensure delivery of goods and services based on agreed turnaround times
  • Recommend different options and quotations for requested goods and services
  • Create Purchase Orders (SAP/Payhawk)
  • Liaise with principal/vendors to negotiate with fastest lead-time and cost-effective proposal
  • Weekly report of Purchase orders and service acquisitions
  • Initial review of service contracts prior engagement and andorsement to legal team for review
  • Background review and vendor accreditation (local & regional)
  • Ensure timely payment to vendors based on agreed payment terms
  • Implements procurement best practices
  • Occasional visit to physical stores for ad-hoc requests
  • Work on other administrative projects and tasks as may be necessary
  • Work On-site

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Bachelors or Degree courses (IT – Related)
  • Good knowledge and 2-3 years’ experience in acquisition of IT Products and Services: Hardware, Software, Network, Cloud Computing and IT Consultancy Services, administrative/office supplies
  • Good knowledge in technology and non-tech related items
  • Knowledge and experience in data center Hardware maintenance, & licensing
  • Strong and creative Sourcing skills
  • Solid negotiations experience with IT related suppliers
  • Working knowledge in SAP/ticketing software is an advantage
  • Vendor Management and Contract Management experience/skills is a big plus
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written, strong command of English language)
  • Confident & can work under pressure, making well-judged decisions
  • Process driven
  • Must be logical, assertive and result-driven
  • Thorough (eye for detail and accuracy) and structured
  • “YES - but” mentality
