Our in-house workflow software, Mytaxflow, supports our global operations in over 90 countries, and we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Tbilisi, Georgia, to help develop and enhance this platform.
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Senior Software Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to help us establish our team in Tbilisi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP, Laravel, and modern JavaScript frameworks like VueJS or React. They should be capable of leading projects, building and mentoring a local team, and contributing to architectural decisions within a multi-team, multi-location setup.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using PHP, Laravel, VueJS, and other modern technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Ensure adherence to software development best practices, including Agile methodologies.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Integrate with third-party services and APIs, such as AWS, Stripe, and others.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and suggest improvements to our tech stack.

Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, particularly in web applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter) and front-end technologies (Vue.js, React, Vue Router, Vuex, Tailwind CSS).
- Strong understanding of database management systems (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL).
- Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and containerization tools (Docker).
- Proficiency with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Experience with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket) and project management platforms (Jira).
- Proficiency in web technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring team members.
- High attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
