Key Responsibilities:
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Budget Oversight: Assist in monitoring budgets and forecasting financial performance.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial practices comply with local laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Tax Preparation: Collaborate with external accountants for tax filings and audits.
- Expense Management: Track and categorize business expenses, ensuring they align with budgets and company policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement systems and processes to improve financial efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a medium-sized business environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Experience managing payroll and employee benefits is a plus.
- Familiarity with financial reporting for companies with six-figure monthly revenue is advantageous.
