Job Overview:
The General Manager is responsible for leading and managing all operations of the Hampton by Hilton hotel, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient hotel management, and alignment with Hilton’s brand standards. The GM will drive financial performance, maintain high levels of employee engagement, and oversee daily operations to ensure the hotel runs smoothly and profitably.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage, and guest services.
- Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, health and safety regulations, and other legal requirements.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the hotel management team, promoting a positive working environment.
- Monitor and manage the hotel’s financial performance, including budget forecasting, profit and loss analysis, and expense control.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and revenue per available room (RevPAR).
- Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by ensuring prompt resolution of guest complaints and feedback.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including guests, employees, corporate partners, and the local community.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, and development to ensure high standards of service and performance.
- Regularly review hotel performance data, prepare reports for corporate office, and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a General Manager, International Hotel chain experience is a must preferably within the Hilton Brand.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with hotel budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
- Knowledge of hotel property management systems (PMS), booking systems, and related software.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and legal compliance in the hospitality industry.
- Fluent in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
