The Senior Business Central Specialist is a pivotal member of the IT and Finance teams, responsible for leading the management and optimization of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central system. This role includes overseeing user rights setups, managing license compliance, troubleshooting software issues, managing financial accounts within Business Central, and leading significant localization and development projects.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee user rights setups, additions, edits, and manage Business Central license allocations and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues; optimize connectivity with Power BI and set up reporting tools in MS Business central.
- Initial setup, of chart of accounts, posting groups, dimensions, as well as Inventory, Fixed asset and other modules.
- Manage and timely maintenance of MS Business setup.
- Ownership of financial closure procedures, including automatic jobs, queries, maintenance, posting restrictions, as well as provide support to end-users, including outsourced team members.
- Participate and lead development in localization processes for adapting Business Central to local financial regulations.
- Support in creating system development blueprints, test new functionalities and integrations.
- Initiate and lead new project developments related to Business Central updates and enhancements. As well as support development projects by providing technical solutions based on expertise and best practices of MS Business Central.
- Engage and communicate effectively with third parties regarding development and system integration.
- Lead and support with technical expertise the update of current MS BC version, transition to SaaS solution, creating and supporting new entities.
- Any other tasks related to MS Business central as required by manager.
- Support Finance control team on various IT projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in managing accounting software, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and collaborative skills.
- Required certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Must have previously held a Senior or Lead role.
- Experience in engaging and communicating with third parties.

- Proficiency in MS Office, data analysis tools, and other related business management software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
