KPMG Georgia is looking for Financial Risk Management Intern, Advisory Department (Paid)
OPEN TO/ ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Internship, Entry-Level
LOCATION: Tbilisi, Georgia
WHAT WILL YOU BE WORKING ON:
As a Financial Risk Management Intern, you will assist in various tasks related to assessing and improving financial risk management practices. This includes:
- Assist in developing and evaluating risk strategies, frameworks, and policies.
- Help assess Credit Risk and IFRS 9, including custom rating models and validation of ECL models (PD, LGD, EAD, FLI).
- Support compliance assessments for NBG, Basel, and IFRS requirements.
- Assist in developing and reviewing ALM, FTP, and Liquidity Risk models, including policies, profitability analysis, and treasury operations.
- Help assess and manage Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book, including risk identification and mitigation.
- Support capital planning and Pillar II processes, including ICAAP, risk scorecards, and stress testing.
- Assist in developing RAROC and Risk-Based Pricing models.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- Final year student or recent graduate, preferably in Economics or Finance.
- Fluent in Georgian, English, and Russian.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with R statistics or Python programming.
- Strong skills in writing reports and preparing presentations.
- Communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Good analytical abilities.
- Full-time availability.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Background in risk management / banking / finance (through work or education).
- Knowledge of market, credit, liquidity, or operational risk modeling.
- Familiarity with the Basel framework and banking regulations.
- FRM, CFA, or other relevant certifications are an advantage.
