Role Overview: As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to support strategic decision-making within the product team. Working closely with the Head of Product, you will contribute valuable insights to enhance our product offerings and improve overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

User Behavior Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to product performance, user behavior, and market trends, ensuring insights are aligned with product management goals. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to inform product decisions and assist in backlog prioritization based on user behavior and business impact.

Requirements Gathering and Backlog Prioritization: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into detailed product requirements, while prioritizing backlog items based on business value and development complexity. Work closely with the product team and stakeholders to ensure alignment between business goals, product development efforts, and the overall product roadmap.

Reporting, Documentation, and Value Assessment: Create and maintain detailed documentation of product features, specifications, and requirements, while also evaluating the value and complexity of proposed development items. Generate regular reports for the Head of Product to facilitate informed decision-making, considering the potential impact and effort required for development.

User Research and Feedback Analysis: Work with customer support, feedback channels, and UX/UI to gather user insights and identify areas for improvement, prioritizing feedback based on its business value and user impact. Collaborate with designers and developers to enhance user experiences by addressing the most impactful areas for improvement, balancing user needs with technical feasibility.

Product Management Process Understanding: Understand product management processes, ensuring that requirements gathering, development priorities, and release plans align with the broader product strategy and company objectives. Collaborate with the product management team to ensure that backlog items are not only aligned with current goals but also structured for smooth progression through development.

Process Optimization and Workflow Efficiency: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the product development lifecycle, using knowledge of product management methodologies to streamline workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, dev, and UX design, to implement efficient workflows and optimize development cycles based on backlog prioritization.

Risk, Value, and Complexity Assessment: Analyse the potential risks, value, and technical complexity of new features or product changes, helping to inform decisions on what should be prioritized in the development pipeline. Assist in refining backlog items by evaluating both business impact and the resources required, ensuring the product team focuses on high-value, low-complexity items for quicker wins.
